The Center for Bioinformatics supports many common bioinformatics software packages. The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill owns site- and/or current network licenses for these packages. The software packages are available to University personnel for no cost, when possible, or at a nominal one-time fee. The installation instructions (for supported operating system platforms), frequently asked questions (FAQ), and contact information are listed for each software package. The Center for Bioinformatics offers training and technical support for these and other open-source bioinformatics software.
