The Center for Bioinformatics at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill maintains a staff of Scientific and Information Technology professionals to identify and support the myriad of software available for analysis of biological data. The staff is responsible for reviewing new software, analyzing and comparing available software, and making recommendations as to how best to accomplish tasks at hand. We offer consultation for specific bioinformatics-related questions to individuals or for a project within a research laboratory. We would be happy to work with you to put together a collaborative project proposal for participation in a current or a future research grant.
For individuals with support questions/issues, we have developed documents addressing many of the General support issues. You can also view the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section that contains links to the FAQs for many of the applications. The Help Desk is also available where a question or support issue can be submitted to a person most able to address the need.
